“A light wind transition here. We’re expecting a big wind shift to the right at the moment. The wind is coming from here, so we are sailing downwind quite slowly. And maybe I made an error. There’s this cloud line and just an hour ago I stayed out of the wind and I didn’t realise quickly enough and then dive, but haven’t found the wind back since. But this looks very dark. Maybe that’s the breeze. I will check on the radar. If this is rain there, I can’t really tell.
Oh look, there’s a bird, very little birds in general. This one here, just a small one, no albatrosses. It’s very rare to get on deck and have an outlook on enjoying the sea. This is probably how people enjoy sailing, like looking all over the ocean. But that’s not reality. Reality is more spending the day here with the foggy windows… Talk later! So far so good.”
Finally, it seems the brave skippers of the Vendeeglobe fleet are given a small respite in lighter winds, as they lick their wounds and repair their ships, the next low is building and approaching the fleet from behind, ready to plunge them again back into the action!
Antoinne Cornec discovered some serious Mast Damage,
Conrad feels a bit better after hitting his head, and Pip to has had another night full of action!
Make sure to bring coffee! Because Seawolves is back again!
