Season Check for Your Finn:

Check or replace your mast secure line

Add a sail secure line at the end of the boom (if you don’t have one)

Inspect your rudder retaining clip for strength

Consider installing a guide roll in your boom to reduce line wear

Lubricate your mast base spindle for smooth rotation

Check the daggeboard shockcord: replace if not really strong

Check the boom shockcord: replace if not strong any more

Lubricate your bailers

Use McLube on your blocks & traveler

Check the vang-shackle if its tight well; secure it.

Check and replace any worn-out lines

Ensure a smooth transition from your halyard to steel cable

Mark a reference distance at your deck chocks

Add a scale at an adjustable daggerboard

Tie a control knot in your mainsheet to secure the boom angle
