Will Harris
Will started sailing at the age of 10 initially competing in Olympic pathway dinghy classes such as the Optimist, Laser and 29er. He represented Great Britain at multiple World, European and National championships and in 2009 was national champion of the Laser 4.7 Dinghy class.
In 2013, Will Harris got selected as one of the members of the part-time development squad. A position he would keep in 2014 and 2015.
The 2016 season marked Will’s debut as a solo offshore sailor, and he rapidly proved that the 3 years he had spent training on the 33 footer had been useful. https://theoffshoreacademy.org/team/will-harris/

Endlich lassen die Wetterbedingungen es zu, ein Notrigg aufzubauen.

Sehr schnell wird die Guyot damit wohl nicht den nächsten Hafen erreichen können. Hoffentlich haben sie genug Proviant an Bord !

Es sieht gut aus für die 11th Hour.
Ein Unglück wäre es dagegen, wenn das Schiff des fiskalischen Schurkenstaates Monaco Leg 4 gewinnen würde.
Will Harris erklärte bereits:
„We have one final fight with 11th Hour Racing Team, one final push, and I think we can be very happy with how we’ve sailed so far,“ said Malizia skipper Will Harris. „We just have to enjoy these last few hours at sea and we can look forward to a nice welcome in Newport. Rosie strahlt und hat sich schon für die Ankunft in Newport chic gemacht. Wind hat sie aber auch nicht rechtzeitig sehen können.
Der führenden 11th Hour einfach nur hinterherzusegeln statt einen eigenen Weg nach vorn zu suchen, ist etwas einfallslos. Gewinnen kann man so in der Regel nicht. 11 th Hour hatte die in Sichtweite segelnde Malizia permanent unter Kontrolle.
