06:00 – Vendee New York – Boris ist auf Rang 3 zurückgefallen, segelt jedoch in der Führungsgruppe einen etwas nördlicheren Kurs als Dalin, der offenbar schneller eine Süd-Westwindzone erreichen möchte. Die Wetterlage ist kompliziert, denn wo sich eigentlich das rechtsherumdrehende Azorenhoch befinden müsste, dreht sich aktuell offenbar ein Tief in entgegengesetzter Richtung.
Day 2 race reports from Justin Mettraux (Teamwork-Team Snef) :
“It was quite crowded [at the waypoint] with a lot of people coming back. I think we did quite well gybing early. We managed to come down to the mark with nice pressure and a shift. We had quite a close crossing with Sam Goodchild (Vulnerable). He passed between us and Sebastien Simon (Groupe Dubreuil). We were not far apart from each other so it was kind of tricky with all the boats going 20 knots. It’s been hard to sleep but I’ve managed to eat quite well so I get the energy from the food. Justine bestätigt also, dass ich an Tag 2 schrieb, Clarisse Cremer habe von einer frühen Halse profitieren können. Dies gilt übrigens auch für Boris, der in Nico’s Kielwasser etliche Plätze gutmachen konnte.

11:00 – Nico Lunven führt weiterhin. Dalin ist 2. und Boris 3.
Das von den Damen dominierte Verfolgerfeld scheint einen südlicheren Kurs einzuschlagen, um den Flautengürtel zu durchqueren. Es steht jedoch zu befürchten, dass sie direkt in ein Flautenloch hineinsegeln, statt diesem auszuweichen.
16:00 – Boris führt mal wieder und die direkten Konkurrenten folgen seinem Kurs. Alles andere wäre ja auch zu riskant. Yoann Richomme, der die Transat CIC gewonnen hat, ist aus der Spitzengruppe herausgefallen und führt jetzt die Damenriege mit Justine Metraux, Samatha Davies und Clarisse Cremer an. Pip Hare und Violette Drange segeln noch etwas weiter hinten im Feld der Abgehängten.
Sebastien Simon sagt:

Und so sieht es auf der Piste aus. Leider haben die Franzosen im Gegensatz zu Boris immer noch Probleme mit der Videoaufzeichnung, die jedes iPhone 15 mit dem Action Mode lösen kann: Einstellungen / Kamera / Video aufnehmen / Verbesserte Stabilisierung oder Actionmodus „Weniger Licht“.
